About Nicola
Hi I’m Nicola an Occupational Therapist at Triangle Theory.
Throughout my OT career, I have had the opportunity to work in my local community and also as a fly in fly out OT in regional and remote communities. In these roles I was enabled to connect with people who otherwise would not have access to allied health services. Through working in these roles I have developed a strong passion for delivering equitable, client-centred therapy and ensuring every child and family I work with has access to the support they need to thrive. I strongly value empowering clients and their caregivers by building their confidence, skills, and capacity to embed therapeutic strategies into everyday routines, creating meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
I enjoy being creative and flexible to work with families in ways that best suit them, understanding the demands of daily life, whilst also understanding the best outcomes for children occur when caregivers can implement therapeutic interventions outside of direct OT sessions.
Most of my experience so far has been working with children, however I do also have experience with teen and young adult clients and am keen to continue working with clients across the lifespan.
I have many hobbies and interests, recently knitting and freediving are taking up most of my time outside of work. I am always looking to learn new creative skills. I enjoy connecting with my clients and learning about their interests. Recently I have enjoyed learning more about Pokémon and Disney from my clients. I value a client-led, play based style of therapy as people learn best when they are playing and having fun!
